Contracts Manager Lead Commercial & Residential Construction Projects Our client, a well-established specialist in the window, door and faade sector, is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to lead the successful delivery of multiple construction projects. This senior leadership role is responsible for overseeing projects from initial planning through to completion, ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently, on schedule and within budget. Working closely with project managers, site teams, factory operations and clients, you'll coordinate resources, maintain quality standards and help drive operational performance across the business. The Role As Contracts Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the operational delivery of multiple live projects while ensuring high standards of quality, safety and commercial performance are maintained throughout. Project Delivery Manage the planning, coordination and delivery of multiple commercial and residential construction projects. Develop project programmes, resource plans and delivery schedules. Monitor project progress, identify potential risks and implement solutions to keep programmes on track. Work closely with Project Managers, Site Teams and Factory Operations to ensure projects are delivered efficiently. Resource Planning Coordinate weekly installation programmes and fitting crews. Schedule surveyors for residential projects and ensure surveys are completed within required timeframes. Ensure installation packs are prepared and available before scheduled works commence. Allocate labour, materials, plant and subcontractors to maximise productivity across projects. Quality Management Maintain consistently high quality standards across all projects. Carry out regular site inspections and quality reviews. Address quality issues promptly and implement corrective actions where required. Ensure all work complies with project specifications, industry standards and client expectations. Health & Safety Promote a proactive safety culture across all sites. Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation and company procedures. Conduct regular site audits and support safe working practices. Work with site teams to identify and minimise project risks. Client & Stakeholder Management Develop strong working relationships with clients, contractors, architects, consultants and internal teams. Provide regular project updates and maintain clear communication throughout each project. Resolve operational issues efficiently while maintaining programme delivery and client satisfaction. Commercial & Operational Performance Manage project budgets and monitor costs throughout each contract. Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs. Forecast factory workloads to support production planning. Produce accurate project forecasts and financial reports to support business decisions. Continuous Improvement Identify and implement improvements to operational processes. Support the adoption of modern construction methods and best practice. Contribute to the ongoing development and growth of the business. About You You are an experienced construction professional with a proven ability to manage multiple projects while leading teams and maintaining high standards of safety, quality and customer service. You are organised, commercially aware and confident making decisions in a fast-moving environment. Essential Experience Significant experience in Contracts Management, Construction Operations or Senior Project Management. Strong knowledge of building envelope systems, including: Curtain Walling Faades Aluminium Windows & Doors Cladding Steel Structures Excellent understanding of construction methods, regulations and industry best practice. Strong commercial and contractual awareness. Experience managing multiple concurrent construction projects. Skills & Attributes Proven leadership and people management experience. Strong communication and relationship-building skills. Excellent planning, organisational and problem-solving abilities. Commercially focused with sound financial and budget management experience. Confident making informed decisions under pressure. High attention to detail and commitment to quality. Proficient in project management software and AutoCAD. Strong analytical, reporting and planning skills.
