What You'll Do
Oversee the management and development of a customer base across US territories
Manage and lead a team of driven sales representatives – providing guidance, coaching, and support to drive performance and achieve sales objectives
Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including prospecting and building relationships with potential clients
Sell into the aquatic vegetation markets
Monitor sales performance, customer feedback, competitor activities, market conditions, and industry trends and provide regular reports and analysis to senior management – identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions
Collaborate to align sales strategies with company goals and market trends
Conduct regular sales meetings, training sessions, and performance reviews to motivate and develop sales teams
Participate in industry events, conferences, and trade shows to expand network and generate leads
Lead and perform work the Nutrien Way – engaging in corporate policies, programs, and practices, including SH&E regulations and standards, to bring our Culture of Care to life
Perform other related duties, as required
What You'll Bring
Bachelor’s degree in agronomy, weed science, or related discipline required; experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
Proven track record of success in sales management, with 5+ years of experience in the vegetation management market, preferably 2+ years in a management or supervisory role
Well-rounded knowledge of aquatic vegetation management and invasive species products and practices
Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and drive performance
Proven ability to influence, develop, and retain business relationships
Strong interpersonal skills, outstanding communication capabilities, and the ability to influence others at all organizational levels. Ability to work effectively with other groups in the organization to achieve a common goal
History of clear and effective decision-making
Willingness and ability to travel extensively (estimated to be 30-40%) with company vehicle provided. Must live in the US territories or be willing to relocate within the US territories
Compensation & Benefits The salary range for this role is between $120,000 - $180,000. While we provide this range as general guidance, several factors are taken into consideration when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, candidate skill set, experience and training, licensure and certifications, work location, and other business and organizational needs. Actual salary and benefits may differ based upon location.
We provide an attractive benefits package that includes comprehensive medical, dental, vision coverage, and life insurance and disability coverage for positions working more than 30 hours per week. In addition to base pay, this role is eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan, with discretionary awards based on company and individual performance. Details will be discussed through the application process.
