DESCRIPTION The Data Analyst II is responsible for providing advanced data analysis and reporting support by gathering customer requirements, identifying technical and data‐related issues, and developing solutions that improve data collection, analysis, and reporting capabilities. This position serves as a key contributor in designing reports, dashboards, and analytical products that support organizational decision‑making and operational performance. The Data Analyst II collaborates with stakeholders to identify new data sources, improve data quality, and optimize reporting processes while supporting the development of procedures, documentation, and system enhancements.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Gather and analyze customer requirements to identify data analysis needs and reporting objectives.
Evaluate technical and business requirements to determine data‑related challenges and recommend effective solutions.
Lead or support the design, development, and maintenance of reports, dashboards, scorecards, and data visualizations.
Identify and evaluate new data sources to improve data collection, integration, reporting, and business intelligence capabilities.
Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, anomalies, and actionable insights.
Develop data queries, reports, and performance metrics to support operational and strategic decision‑making.
Validate data integrity by identifying inconsistencies, performing quality assurance checks, and recommending corrective actions.
Troubleshoot information systems and reporting issues to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and availability of data.
Collaborate with business units, system administrators, and technical teams to improve data management processes and reporting efficiency.
Prepare recurring and ad hoc reports for management, customers, and project teams.
Assist in developing standard operating procedures (SOPs), user guides, technical documentation, and training materials related to data systems and reporting processes.
Support system enhancements, data migration efforts, testing activities, and implementation of new reporting tools.
Ensure compliance with organizational data governance policies, privacy requirements, and security standards.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, COMPETENCIES
Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, reporting, or information systems.
Experience developing reports, dashboards, and analytical products using business intelligence and reporting tools.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, PivotTables, charts, and data analysis functions.
Experience using SQL to query, manipulate, and analyze relational databases.
Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem‑solving skills.
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
Experience supporting federal government, Department of Defense (DoD), healthcare, or other regulated organizations.
Experience with enterprise reporting systems, data warehouses, and cloud‑based analytics platforms.
Knowledge of programming or scripting languages such as Python or R for data analysis and automation.
Familiarity with Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes and data integration techniques.
Experience with Agile project methodologies and requirements gathering.
Professional certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate, Tableau Certified Data Analyst, or similar credentials.

EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Analytics, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
SALARY RANGE
$89,000 USD–$109,000 USD. However, Longeviti considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.
