Physical Therapy Aide

About
- Assist physical therapists in providing patient care and treatment
- Prepare treatment areas and equipment for therapy sessions
- Escort patients to and from therapy sessions
- Monitor patients during therapy sessions and report any changes or concerns to the physical therapist
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of therapy areas
- Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and documenting patient progress
Experience:
- Previous experience as a physical therapy aide or in a similar role preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy
- Familiarity with patient service in an acute care or hospital setting
- Understanding of physiology and how it relates to patient care
Skills:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate documentation and patient care
- Physical stamina to assist with lifting, transferring, and positioning patients as needed
