Job Description HPE\'s customers typically test the traditional bounds of what can be done and increasingly rely on HPE Juniper experts to effectively resolve problems and provide feedback on root cause and future prevention techniques. We are seeking a Network Engineer to apply extensive experience supporting large-scale networks, with broad product knowledge in routing, switching, or security (firewalls). Your ability to troubleshoot network issues, diagnose complex problems, and learn the customer’s infrastructure are essential to success in the Support organization. You will be part of a team known for technical expertise and effective problem resolution, delivering a high level of customer success in ARC(CFTS) engagements.
Location This person will work on a hybrid (2 - 3 days in office) schedule in one of the following HPE Offices: Sunnyvale, CA; Westford, MA; Houston, TX; or Herndon, VA.
Responsibilities
Handle high priority issues for a small subset of top HPE Juniper Networks customers on specific Juniper Networks products (MX, PTX, ACX).
Build productive and collaborative trust-based relationships with assigned accounts.
Take ownership of high priority or sensitive customer issues and ensure prompt network services restoration and resolution to the customer\'s satisfaction using a systematic problem-solving approach.
Work closely with various technical teams to ensure knowledge transfer of the customer\'s networks, issues, teams, and solutions. Keep management informed of sensitive issues.
Collaborate with Juniper Networks technical teams and provide input on new products and feature improvements for reliability, availability, and serviceability.
Support Service Managers in understanding technical issues and resolutions, and assist in driving high-profile escalations.
Participate in customer conference calls and/ or face-to-face meetings to discuss technical issues.
Develop and maintain skills in core products and technologies; identify training needs as customer networks evolve.
Contribute to technical documentation (white papers, knowledge bases, troubleshooting guides) for internal and external use.
Document technical support issues clearly using available tools.
Develop a can-do attitude and suggest ways to improve team performance and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
Higher education (Bachelor or Master in electrical engineering or computer science or equivalent).
3+ years in a network support role, with 2-3 years supporting large IP networks.
3+ years supporting customers on site and via phone; capable of supporting a complex and high-profile customer base.
Strong communication, influencing, and collaboration skills.
Strong problem-solving skills applicable to large and complex network scenarios.
Strong customer management and customer service skills.
Excellent presentation skills.
Must-have Technical Skills
IP Networking basics: TCP/IP, Subnetting, IP packet flow, OSI layers.
Routing technologies: OSPF, IS-IS, BGP, MPLS, RSVP-TE, L3VPN, L2VPN.
Preferred Technical Skills
Working knowledge of EVPN, SR-MPLS, SRV6.
Experience with traffic generators (Ixia/Spirent), TCP replay tools, and network protocol analysis tools.
Experience with Linux, FreeBSD, scripting languages (Shell, Python, Slax, Perl).
Strong problem-solving skills for large and complex networks.
Strong customer management and customer service skills.
Excellent presentation skills.

Compensation and Legal The expected salary/wage range is provided below and may vary by location, experience, education, and skill level. United States: Massachusetts 92,700 – 175,700 USD; California 92,700 – 187,500 USD; Texas & Virginia 81,500 – 187,500 USD. Salary reflects base pay; variable incentives may also be offered.
