JOB TITLE Data Analyst LOCATION 1 Optum Circle, Eden Prairie, MN 55344 (Telecommuting available from anywhere in the U.S.) DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Manage and manipulate structured data with a focus on building business intelligence tools; conduct analysis to distinguish patterns and recognize trends; perform normalization operations and assure data quality; create specifications to bring data into a common structure; develop data solutions to support analyses; interpret results and present actionable insights for use across the company; partner with stakeholders to understand data requirements and develop tools and models such as segmentation, dashboards, data visualizations, decision aids, and business case analysis; produce and manage the delivery of activity and value analytics to external stakeholders and clients; use business intelligence, data visualization, query, analytic and statistical software to build solutions and perform analysis. QUALIFICATIONS Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems and Operations Management or a related field and at least three years of relevant experience. Experience must include: MS SQL development and Power BI development MS Business Intelligence development ETL tools such as MS SSIS or Visual Studio Data visualization tools such as SSRS, Power BI, or Tableau Healthcare administrative data such as Medical Claims, Enrollment, or Provider data Analytical environment such as data analytics and visualizations, management consulting, or information systems Analytical and quantitative skills in managing and modeling large data sets Knowledge of CMS regulations and specifications regarding Medicare Advantage Risk Adjustment Solid analytical skills in data analysis, statistical analysis, data manipulation, data extraction or reporting COMPENSATION $119,642.00 per year BENEFITS UnitedHealth Group offers a full range of comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental and vision, as well as matching 401k and an employee stock purchase plan.
