Description POSITION STATUS :
SALARY RATE: $69,181.00 (Annual Salary) based on the FTE
JOB DUTIES : The Corporate Materials Management Department is under the Finance Division of the Corporate Office and is responsible for system-level materials management policy and contracts and helping to improve supply chain operations and; support the Finance and Supply Chain Management Enterprise Resource Planning System for the Corporate Office and Regions.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
A. Contract and Pricing Management - 45%
Facilitate contract setup, creation, and maintenance, and uploads within the HHSC FSM ERP system.
Maintain and validate contract pricing to ensure alignment with purchasing, inventory, and financial data.
Review and verify item attributes associated with contracts to ensure proper system configuration and operational accuracy.
Support contract compliance initiatives by ensuring pricing structures and related master data remain current and accurate.
Collaborate with procurement, supply chain, and finance departments regarding contract-related data requirements and updates.
B. Master Data Management - 30%
Maintain and govern master data within the HHSC FSM ERP, including Item Master, Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) tables, Clinical Bridge, Vendor Master, and Contract Management.
Maintain vendor numbers and supplier records across FSM and integrated systems.
Manage product lifecycle events including item additions, changes, inactivations, and conversions resulting from system implementations, manufacturer acquisitions, and product discontinuations.
Perform routine audits of ERP master data to ensure data accuracy, integrity, consistency, and compliance with established governance standards.
Identify and resolve data quality issues through corrective actions, process improvements, and user training to maintain clean master data.
Troubleshoot ERP system and data-related issues and coordinate with Information Technology staff to ensure timely resolution.
Develop, maintain, and update master data templates, procedures, and standard operating documentation.
C. Department Support and User Engagement - 20%
Provide functional and technical support to HHSC FSM ERP users across supply chain management and finance operations.
Troubleshoot issues related to item setup, vendor setup, purchasing, inventory, and related ERP processes.
Collaborate with departments to ensure ERP system configurations align with operational workflows and business requirements.
Serve as backup to the MMEM during absences or as assigned.
Participate in process improvement initiatives, system testing, training activities, and special projects.
Perform other duties as assigned.
D. Vendor Setup and EDI Management - 5%
Manage vendor onboarding and setup processes, including vendor account numbers, remit-to relationships, and supplier records.
Configure and maintain EDI transactions, including 810 invoices, 850 purchase orders, and 855 purchase order acknowledgments.
Support vendor integration with external systems and ensure accurate electronic transaction processing.
Monitor vendor data and EDI functionality to ensure compliance with organizational and operational standards.
THE MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS ARE:
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
EXPERIENCE: At least two (2) years of experience working with Supply Chain Management Information System/ERP system; experience with master data management (e.g., item, vendor, contract); strong understanding of purchasing workflows, unit of measure conversions, and pricing structures; strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with high attention to detail.
DESIRED SKILLS: Experience in healthcare supply chain management environments; knowledge of EDI processes and vendor integrations; experience with system implementations, upgrades, or data conversions; experience with reporting tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel, SQL, Power BI).
