About
Plan, install, and support hardware and software upgrades under senior guidance
Implement network configuration changes per approved standards and change control
Monitor network performance and respond to anomalies using monitoring tools
Support system integration activities and coordinate with application support teams
Manage ITSM ticket queues and resolve customer issues within SLA timeframes
Conduct monthly trend analysis and ticket query reporting
Support change request assessments and ensure 24-hour turnaround
Assist with network inventory management and NMS compliance (98.5% accuracy)
Coordinate with Network Specialists on daily operations and troubleshooting
Create and update technical documentation and work instructions
Participate in testing and validation of network changes
Provide customer communication and technical support coordination

Requirements Desired/Required Skills
Active Department of Defense Secret level security clearance required.
DoD Approved 8570 / 8140 OS and Cybersecurity certifications required.
Bachelor's degree in technical discipline and 3 years OR Technical/Vocational certification and 5 years
4-5 years’ relevant technical experience.
Proficient in normal networking protocols: TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, DHCP, SNMP
Working knowledge of Cisco IOS and network device configuration
Understanding of 802.1d/q/w, 802.3, 802.11, and communication standards
Experience with SolarWinds, monitoring tools, and network management platforms
Basic network security: firewall rules, VPN concepts, IDS awareness
Cable testing, OTDR, and network diagnostic tools
Ethernet, Fast Ethernet, Gigabit Ethernet familiarity
ServiceNow or similar ITSM platforms
Routed/switched LAN environment operations
