Factory Location: Breinigsville, PA (NPL - East)
Compensation: $35.00 / hour
Shift differential: 6%-8% of base hourly rate paid for applicable hours worked
Schedule: 5:00pm - 5:00am on a 2-2-3 rotating schedule
Ability to work holidays and weekends per business needs, must be willing to train on dayshift

Responsibilities:If you’re hands-on, safety-minded, and want a long-term skilled trade career in a high-speed CPG manufacturing environment, this apprenticeship is designed to grow your skills. You’ll work alongside experienced mechanics to build skills in preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of production, facility, and utility systems while completing structured training and progressing in capability.
- Complete on-the-job training supported by online courses through TPC to build troubleshooting, diagnostic, and equipment repair skills.
- Learn and understand all SOPs for mechanic-level and operator-level positions.
- Operate equipment safely and understand normal running parameters, set points, and related standards.
- Execute work orders, including special projects, rebuilds, and installations when requested.
- Work with a sense of urgency to repair and restart the line as quickly as possible.
- Develop a working knowledge of basic maintenance principles.
- Perform intermediate electrical troubleshooting.
- Execute preventive maintenance during planned stoppages, including project work installation, tag closure, standard procedure creation, and work order execution.
- Work with vendors as needed for equipment start-up, improvement, and modification.
- Train operators on equipment standards and technical training modules as needed.
- Understand equipment losses and develop plans to reduce downtime based on the highest-loss machine per line.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience; additional technical training or certifications preferred.
- Basic technical knowledge of compressed air systems, including pneumatics, electrical systems, hydraulics, and water processing preferred.
- Basic electrical knowledge of single- and three-phase power, including the ability to diagnose and replace electric motors.
- Ability to complete projects with little to no supervision.
- Ability to foster and build a teamwork-focused environment.
- Communicate effectively with operators, technicians, mechanics, and supervisors.
- Ability to read, interpret, and analyze computer-generated reports and accurately complete assigned tasks.
- Ability to complete physical inspections of equipment that require climbing, reaching, and extending arms overhead.
- Ability to lift and pull 50 lbs. as needed while performing work.
- Proficiency in reading mechanical drawings, schematics, and OEM technical prints.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
- Work together with the Safety department to achieve a zero-injury workplace.
- Positive attitude and openness to a fast-paced, ever-changing work environment.
Candidates must possess strong English language skills to effectively communicate with customers and provide exceptional service. Proficiency in English is essential for understanding customer needs, resolving inquiries, and collaborating with team members.
