About

Role: Programme Executive - Renewable Electricity Location: Dublin, Dundalk, Cork or Sligo - Two days in office each week Contract 18 month fixed term on a 35 hour week (net of breaks) with 29 days annual leave plus public holidays This role sits within a high performing electricity and wind team delivering analytical insight, policy support and market development, working with policy makers, researchers and industry stakeholders. This is an opportunity to work on system level challenges and contribute to renewable electricity delivery in Ireland. The Role You will: Conduct electricity system modelling and research analysis Develop and enhance analytical tools using Python or Julia Prepare and integrate complex datasets to improve model quality Produce clear reports and briefings to inform policy and decision making Support evidence based development of renewable electricity Engage stakeholders and represent the team at industry events What You will bring Strong grounding in power systems and renewable electricity Understanding of wind and solar integration into electricity systems Experience building optimisation or simulation models Working knowledge of tools such as Python, Julia, Spine or CoRES Clear communication of technical insights to varied audiences Ability to manage priorities and deliver to deadlines Strong analytical judgement and attention to detail Essential Criteria Honours degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline Minimum 3/three years relevant experience in renewable energy or development Strong capability in renewable electricity modelling and analysis Proven experience using Python or Julia and relevant tools Track record of delivering high quality analysis and reporting Experience working across multi disciplinary teams and stakeholders Evidence of delivering impactful analytical work Desirable Postgraduate qualification in a relevant field Experience managing external providers Exposure to regulated or public sector environments Knowledge of the Irish electricity market Strong delivery focus and attention to detail Why this role: - it offers real exposure to national energy challenges where you will work with strong data, complex systems and senior stakeholders.
