Offaly The Opportunity An established main contractor is seeking an experiencedSite Engineer to join the delivery team on a large-scale residential housing and apartment development in Tullamore, Co.
Offaly.
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with proven experience on Irish residential projects who is looking to join a busy site with a strong pipeline of future work.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the accurate delivery of all setting out, infrastructure, and groundworks while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.
Key Responsibilities Carry out accurate setting out for foundations, floor slabs, roads, and associated infrastructure.
Oversee residential groundworks, including deep drainage, water mains, utility services, and service ducting.
Manage the layout of estate roads, footpaths, boundaries, and external works.
Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, Irish Building Regulations, and quality standards.
Work closely with site management, subcontractors, and groundworks teams to ensure efficient project delivery.
Assist in maintaining site records, quality inspections, and technical documentation.
Support the delivery of the project by identifying and resolving technical issues as they arise.
Requirements Proven experience as a Site Engineer on residential housing developments in Ireland.
Strong knowledge of residential groundworks, drainage, utilities, and infrastructure.
Excellent setting out skills with experience usingTrimble orLeica Total Stations.
Practical experience working on Irish construction projects is essential.
Strong understanding of Irish Building Regulations and construction best practices.
Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively within a collaborative site team while managing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
