Assistant Vice President, Software Engineering
Travelers Software Engineering team enables a seamless customer experience through technology solutions. You will accelerate growth and transformation of our Technology landscape. You will leverage your leadership skills and engineering experience to strategically plan, influence, and execute design, development and implementation of complex problems and establish best practices and standards. Lead teams of Software Engineers by providing technical guidance and mentorship while modeling Travelers' leadership behaviors to foster a team environment. Partner with businesses to establish strategic direction, develop product roadmaps, provide technical oversight for large programs, and implement optimal solutions to meet business needs. Align work with business and engineering priorities to realize meaningful impact. Build collaborative relationships with key leaders and peers across the organization to ensure the best use of overall resources. Provide unique opportunities and challenges to enrich development of team members, assess skill gaps, develop mitigation efforts, and equip individuals with skills, tools, and standard approaches to improve the overall quality of engineering practices and skill sets. Apply knowledge of current industry trends and techniques to formulate solutions for software engineering problems. Perform other duties as assigned.
