Description The Network Administrator is responsible for supporting and maintaining the organization’s network infrastructure across franchise and corporate‑owned locations, including retail sites, corporate offices, distribution centers, and remote environments. This role focuses on daily network operations, troubleshooting, and technical support to ensure consistent connectivity and optimal performance across the enterprise.
The Network Administrator collaborates closely with senior IT team members to resolve issues, implement system changes, and support ongoing network initiatives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Support the maintenance and day‑to‑day operation of network infrastructure, including switches, access points, cabling, and firewall configurations.
Monitor network performance and connectivity across franchise and corporate‑owned locations, corporate offices, distribution centers, and remote environments, identifying and escalating issues as needed.
Troubleshoot network‑related incidents affecting end users, including connectivity, VPN access, and hardware issues.
Assist with network installations, upgrades, and changes.
Maintain network documentation, including diagrams, configuration records, and standard operating procedures.
Respond to user requests for network‑related technical assistance via the Zendesk ticketing system.
Ensure adherence to PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) requirements across all network systems and locations by monitoring compliance, supporting audits, implementing security controls, and partnering with IT teams to remediate vulnerabilities and maintain secure payment environments.
Coordinate with vendors and service providers for circuit issues, hardware replacements, and connectivity troubleshooting.
Apply network security best practices by enforcing approved configurations and adhering to established standards.
Identify issues requiring urgent attention and elevate appropriately.
Provide after‑hours or on‑call support as needed for network incidents.
Travel to franchise and corporate‑owned locations, local offices, and distribution centers to support network needs, installations, or troubleshooting as required.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and hands‑on experience.
5‑7+ years of experience supporting and administering enterprise‑level and/or multi‑location network environments.
Strong, hands‑on expertise with core networking concepts and protocols, including TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, DHCP, DNS, VPNs, routing, switching, and wireless technologies, with the ability to design and optimize network performance.
Demonstrated experience with network monitoring, alerting, and ticketing systems, with the ability to proactively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex network issues.
Hands‑on experience with Cisco, Meraki, or similar networking equipment (preferred).
Strong knowledge of IT security best practices, including network hardening, access controls, vulnerability mitigation, and compliance standards.
Hands‑on experience with firewall rules, VLANs, and network segmentation.
Proven ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve multi‑layer network issues, including coordination across infrastructure, systems, and application teams.
Ability to follow established processes and elevate issues appropriately.
Strong troubleshooting, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
Willingness and ability to travel up to 20% to local and regional sites.
Ability to participate in an on‑call rotation as needed.
