Business Intelligence Engineer Full Time Individual Contract Brea, CA, US
Salary Range: $100,000.00 To $125,000.00 Annually

Job Location Brea, CA - Hybrid Position
Responsibilities
Build and maintain data pipelines that ingest, transform, and deliver data for reporting and analytics
Design and develop data models and semantic layers optimized for business intelligence consumption
Translate reporting and analytics requirements into performant, well-structured data solutions
Implement solutions within the architectural standards and patterns defined by the Data Architect
Monitor and tune data systems and models for performance, reliability, and accuracy
Document pipeline configurations, data models, and processes to support maintenance and troubleshooting
Apply data security and governance standards in alignment with organizational policies
Collaborate with analysts and business stakeholders to ensure data meets reporting needs
Serve as a technical resource for the analyst team on data modeling and pipeline questions
Requirements for Success
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
5–7 years of experience in data engineering, business intelligence, or related technical roles
Proficiency in SQL Server and the Microsoft data platform
Experience building data models and reports in Power BI
Proficiency in Python for data processing and automation
Experience with version control (Git) and collaborative development practices
Familiarity with data security and governance best practices
