The Restaurant Manager promotes the excellence of a Neiman Marcus Restaurant by leveraging team members' skills, maintaining the restaurant to current standards, and supporting key Restaurant initiatives.
Restaurant Strategy & Administration
- Oversees maintenance of excellent quality and cleanliness across all dining rooms and kitchens
- Oversees cleanliness and adherence to Health and Safety standards in work areas
- Enforces NMG policies and procedures
- Maintains proper documents to begin, finalize, and achieve seasonal profit plans
- Drives restaurant to achieve and maintain a 90% score or better on seasonal shop reports and sanitation evaluations
- Executes and/or supports special promotions and events for restaurant
- Manages inventory amounts, batch invoices, and month-end forecasts
- Maintains current and accurate paperwork from POS reports while monitoring restaurant success compared to the bottom line, reviewing preliminary profit and loss reports
- Partners with General Restaurant Manager and Executive Chef to support any restaurant needs
Associate Development
- Enforces Neiman Marcus policies and procedures
- Responsible for coaching and counseling direct reports
- Oversees restaurant Associates in completing daily tasks
- Provides feedback, conflict resolution, and disciplinary action for Associates
- Works closely with Human Resources Manager on matters relevant to restaurant Associates (e.g., training, payroll, benefits)
- Supports training of Associates on tasks critical to their roles
Communications
- Communicates daily with General Restaurant Manager and Executive Chef(s) regarding scheduling, profit and loss reports, upcoming events, and any employee-related concerns
- Participates in weekly department manager meeting
- Relays relevant news concerning the restaurant to other department managers
- Relays pertinent information and updates to restaurant staff
What You Will Bring:
- 2-4 years of relevant experience
- 4-year degree preferred
- History of leading, motivating, and coaching teams to achieve objectives
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Motivated and results-driven
- Exceptional customer service and problem-solving skills
- "Win together" mentality
- Basic proficiency with MS Office Product Suite preferred
- Role requires standing, bending, climbing stairs, and lifting and carrying 35 pounds
- Associates must be willing to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, which will include evenings, weekends, and holidays

Salary and Other Benefits:
Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include market, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for bonus.
