Environmental Manager

Our client, a highly respected manufacturer in the aerospace and automotive related industries with a big location near Lafayette Indiana (relocation will be provided) is in immediate need of an Environmental Manager who will:

• spearhead problem solving efforts to increase environmental awareness throughout the plant
• be the steward for the entire plant and is responsible for driving continuous improvements in all areas.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Environmental, Health and Safety or a similar field
• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing setting
• Strong environmental background and experience in Title V, PSD.
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize work accurately and to work with cross-functional teams effectively
• Ability to lead and drive cultural change in a positive manner, influencing others on new concepts
• Experience with (and understanding of) lean manufacturing techniques
• Strong oral and written communication skills in a variety of settings (shop floor, peers, plant leadership, etc.)
