Media Planner

The Media Planner is responsible for designing integrated media strategies across digital and traditional channels, translating business objectives into effective communication plans. This role balances strategic thinking and executional rigor, ensuring optimal channel mix, audience reach, and budget allocation while aligning with performance and brand goals.

Develop integrated media plans across digital (search, social, programmatic, video) and offline (TV, radio, OOH, print)

Define channel roles within the full funnel (awareness, consideration, conversion)

Build audience strategies based on data, insights, and business objectives

Allocate and optimize budgets across channels to maximize performance and efficiency

Translate client business goals into measurable media KPIs and frameworks

Collaborate with activation teams to ensure plans are executed as designed

Analyze campaign performance and provide strategic recommendations for optimization

Ensure consistency and governance across markets in regional or global accounts

Lead planning presentations and articulate rationale behind media decisions

Identify innovation opportunities (new formats, channels, test & learn frameworks)

Cross-channel media planning (Digital + Offline integration)

Audience segmentation and targeting strategy

Budget allocation and optimization modeling

Strong understanding of media KPIs (reach, frequency, CPM, CPA, ROI)

Strategic thinking beyond execution

Knowledge of planning tools (e.g., Nielsen, Comscore, DV360)

Ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights

Understanding of media buying principles (not execution-focused but informed)

Stakeholder communication and presentation skills

Adaptability to multi-market / regional structures
