Rate of Pay: $26.00-28.00 per hour
RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure prompt and courteous service is extended to both internal and external clients
Have a complete understanding and knowledge of hotel's services and facilities
Assist in qualifying leads, researching space, entering bookings in Opera Sales and Event Management, and responding to client(s) either personally or by directing to the appropriate salesperson(s)
Preparation of contracts and proposals
Record and track leads for responses and due dates
Preparation of deposit invoices and tracking of deposits received from clients
Verify group commissions and prepare requests for commission payments
Assist Sales Managers in conducting site inspections of the Hotel
Maintain/order current printed sales and promotional collaterals and office supplies
Coordinate with other departments within the hotel to ensure distribution of important information
Prepare and disseminate routine daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reportsAttend all sales meetings
Obtain and record group histories
Provide administrative duties as required by Sales Managers and Director of Group Sales
Regular Sales Office phone coverage
Assist with preparation and follow-up of sales trips including expense reporting
Assist with duties of Sales Managers when they are absent from the office
Maintain an organized work environment
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum High School Diploma, Business School and/or Hotel School Diploma preferred
Bachelor's or Associate's college degree preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Past hospitality or travel industry experience (internal or external) an asset
Proven competency in the area of organization and communication skills
Ability to work without direct supervision
Pleasant out-going personality/good interpersonal skills
Excellent command of the English language
Desire to pursue a career in Hospitality sales and marketing preferred
Additional Information Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in the United States. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining U.S. work authorization.
