Responsibilities
Lead the administration, maintenance, and optimization of enterprise Windows and Linux server environments.
Perform advanced system capacity planning, performance analysis, and resource management to ensure infrastructure scalability and reliability.
Design, deploy, and manage complex virtualized environments utilizing VMware technologies.
Serve as the technical lead for system architecture, upgrades, migrations, and modernization initiatives.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure, operating systems, and application issues across enterprise environments.
Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server and Linux operating systems in accordance with organizational requirements and industry best practices.
Apply operating system, application, and security patches to maintain compliance, security, and operational effectiveness.
Lead vulnerability remediation efforts and ensure systems remain compliant with DISA STIGs, DoD cybersecurity requirements, and organizational security policies.
Monitor enterprise systems and infrastructure to ensure continuous availability, performance, and operational readiness.
Develop and implement backup, recovery, business continuity, and disaster recovery strategies.
Automate administrative tasks and system management functions using scripting and automation tools such as PowerShell, Bash, or Ansible.
Develop, maintain, and enforce technical standards, policies, procedures, and system documentation.
Mentor junior administrators and provide technical guidance across infrastructure-related projects and operational activities.
Collaborate with network, cybersecurity, cloud, and application teams to design and implement integrated enterprise solutions.
Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements to enhance system performance, security, and operational efficiency.
Support after-hours maintenance, troubleshooting, and incident response activities as required.
Perform additional duties assigned to support team and organizational objectives.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related technical discipline.
7+ years of relevant experience.
DOD IAT Level II Certification is required.
DOD TS/SCI with the ability to obtain CI poly.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems.
