About
We are seeking a recent college graduate (undergrad) who has explored AI during their academic career. You will bring fresh thinking to Amazon Ads, developing analytics methods to examine complex data flows and translate deep‑dives into actionable insights for our product teams.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze data trends in supply, optimization, ad load, and advertising mix to support advertiser performance objectives.
Present papers to senior leaders on feature development impact and ad selection systems to inform business development and engineering roadmaps.
Formalize analytics for Ads auctions by analyzing bid spreads, auction depth, and simulating potential auction structure changes.
Define and operationalize KPIs to measure ad serving system performance and use insights to shape business priorities.
Partner with engineering teams to define data‑logging requirements and prioritize them in engineering roadmaps.
Validate financial models through analysis and develop ad revenue and supply intelligence analytics decks.
A Day in the Life The Ads Scientist works closely with business leaders and engineers to develop common data architecture that optimizes data logging across bid flow to campaign delivery. The analyst then evaluates the data and presents actionable insights.
About the Team The Ads Science Product Team works alongside stakeholders to apply objective perspective and business logic for uncovering insights, advising strategic decisions, and adapting to industry changes.
Basic Qualifications
1+ years of data engineering experience
Experience with SQL
Data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines
Preferred Qualifications
Experience using AI to automate and build projects showcased on GitHub or other sources.
Proficiency in at least one programming language: Python, R, or SQL.
Foundational knowledge of statistical methods (hypothesis testing, regression, probability).
Ability to query, clean, and transform data (SQL required).
Basic understanding of ML concepts (classification, clustering, regression models).
