Job Summary The Business Analyst serves as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure solutions meet organizational needs. This role focuses on gathering and analyzing requirements, documenting business processes, and supporting data-driven decision-making. The Business Analyst helps identify opportunities for process improvement, ensures accuracy in reporting, and contributes to successful project delivery.
Essential Functions
Provides recurring reporting and adhoc requests
Pulls basic data
Creates simple analysis
Responds to internal client support requests
Work product requires review
Works under general direction / supervision
Can work independently
Contribute to team knowledge-sharing and efficiency improvements
May require assistance with prioritization of work
Limited partner interaction across bank including line of business, Finance, Risk, and Technology
Support senior team members as needed in data validation and analysis
Work typically assigned by manager
Developing relationship building ability and interpersonal skills
Developing influencing skills
Developing critical thinking skills
Can analyze simple issues with low complexity
Can provide input with addressing basic business / analytical problems and challenges
Recognizes need to escalate issues in a timely manner

Complies with all KeyBank policies and procedures, including without limitation, acting professionally at all times, conducting business ethically, avoiding conflicts of interest, and acting in the best interests of Key's clients and Key.
Education
Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
OR equivalent experience (required)
Work Experience
1+ years experience in business analysis, requirements gathering, or related role. (required)
Skills
Basic knowledge of MS Excel/PPT
Beginner database querying
Understanding of AI tools and prompting
Basic data visualization and data mining techniques
Basic project management skills
Basic knowledge of CRM platforms
Basic knowledge of corporate and LOB-specific regulatory processes including Know Your Customer (KYC), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), and Federal Reserve Y-14Q reporting
Data collection and validation to support reporting needs
Introductory knowledge of investment banking and commercial real estate products, revenue drivers and deal lifecycles
Developing baseline understanding of business partner strategy
Building financial acumen

Physical Demands
General Office - Prolonged sitting, ability to communicate face to face in person or on the phone with teammates and clients, frequent use of PC/laptop, occasional lifting/pushing/pulling of backpacks, computer bags up to 10 lbs.
Travel
Occasional travel to include overnight stay.
Driving Requirements
Ability to occasionally operate a motor vehicle with a valid driver's license.
Work Location Category
Hybrid- 3+ days a week in office. Please note that candidate selected will be expected to work from both locations (127 Public Square and 4910 Tiedeman Road) based on business needs.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $63,000.00 - $96,000.00 annually. Placement within the pay range may differ based upon various factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and geographic location. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for incentive compensation which may include production, commission, and/or discretionary incentives.
