At Chick-fil-A Southport Road, Directors are more than restaurant managersthey are business leaders responsible for developing people, improving systems, and producing measurable results.

Each Director owns a significant area of the business and works alongside the Executive Directors and Operator to build a thriving restaurant that delivers exceptional guest experiences, develops future leaders, and creates long-term business growth.

Whether your strengths are Operations, Hospitality, Training, Talent, Kitchen, Drive-Thru, Catering, Facilities, or another area, you'll have ownership, accountability, and the opportunity to make a lasting impact.

Position Summary

Directors are responsible for leading people, improving processes, and achieving business results.

This is a hands-on leadership position that combines operational excellence with strategic leadership. Directors spend time working alongside the team while also planning, coaching, analyzing performance, and leading long-term improvements.

Our Directors don't simply manage shiftsthey own outcomes.

Primary Responsibilities:

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop Team Leaders and Team Members.
  • Build a culture of accountability, encouragement, and continuous improvement.
  • Identify, mentor, and develop future leaders.
  • Conduct coaching conversations and performance feedback.
  • Partner with Executive Directors to strengthen the leadership pipeline.
  • Protect and strengthen the culture of the restaurant.

Operational Excellence

  • Own one or more major areas of the business.
  • Ensure Chick-fil-A operational standards are consistently executed.
  • Lead initiatives that improve speed, quality, hospitality, food safety, and accuracy.
  • Solve operational challenges through systems rather than temporary fixes.
  • Maintain readiness for all food safety and operational audits.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve processes.

Strategic Leadership

  • Create quarterly and annual goals for assigned areas.
  • Analyze key business metrics and implement improvement strategies.
  • Develop systems that produce sustainable long-term results.
  • Participate in weekly leadership meetings and strategic planning.
  • Partner with Executive Directors to execute restaurant initiatives.
  • Think proactively to anticipate future opportunities and challenges.

Guest Experience

  • Champion Genuine Hospitality throughout the restaurant.
  • Ensure every guest receives a remarkable experience.
  • Resolve guest concerns professionally and compassionately.
  • Foster an environment where hospitality becomes everyone's responsibility.

Business Stewardship

  • Take ownership of assigned business results.
  • Monitor labor, productivity, food cost, and operational performance.
  • Protect restaurant assets and resources.
  • Ensure policies, procedures, and safety standards are consistently followed.
  • Lead with an ownership mentality.

Qualifications:

Required

  • Minimum 18 years of age.
  • Proven leadership experience leading people.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach and develop others.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to solve problems and make sound decisions.
  • High level of integrity, ownership, and accountability.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and remain on your feet for extended periods.

Preferred

  • Restaurant, hospitality, retail, or operations leadership experience.
  • Experience leading managers or supervisors.
  • Experience analyzing business performance and improving results.
  • ServSafe Certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent leadership experience.

Availability:

Directors are expected to:

  • Average 3245 hours per week.
  • Maintain open availability based on business needs.
  • Work a combination of opening, mid, and closing shifts.
  • Be available evenings, Fridays and Saturdays.
  • Participate in leadership meetings and planning sessions.
  • Sundays are always off.
