About
This position will report to the Project and Portfolio Management Office (PPMO) to supplement existing staff, manage the planning, design, development, and implementation of information technology projects, contribute to strategic planning and portfolio management, support PPMO operational enhancement activities, and manage Microsoft Dynamics and Power Platform solution development efforts.
Responsibilities include:
- Prepare Project Management Plans within the timeframe specified by the Contract or Functional Manager.
- Review the approved Project Management Plan(s) throughout the PO term.
- Prepare Legislative Budget Requests (LBR), Statements of Work (SOW), Operational Work Plans (OWP), and similar documentation for assigned projects.
- Prepare the Microsoft (MS) Project schedule or equivalent schedule.
- Review the project schedule regularly.
- Populate and maintain the RAID Log(s) throughout the PO term.
- Comply with Administrative Policies and Procedures.
- Prepare ISDM or SDF documentation.
- Identify, document, analyze, and communicate business processes and functional/data requirements.
- Oversee and manage the development and storage of project technical documentation.
- Work with Functional Managers to obtain and maintain resources.
- Lead the Project Team in the execution of activities.
- Manage the process by which the project scope, budget, and schedule are revised.
- Document and manage project communications, scope, schedule, and budget.
- Evaluate, track, and report identified risks.
- Apprise Stakeholders of risks and issues affecting the project.
- Communicate relevant information to the Project Team and Stakeholders.
- Facilitate meetings throughout the term of the PO.
- Address Project Team conflict and communication problems proactively.
- Review required documentation evidencing the deliverable for completeness and correctness.
Required Experience: Minimum Qualifications: 1) Ability to communicate effectively (verbally and in writing) with Department staff. 2) Project Management Professional certification. 3) A minimum of ten (10) years of IT business/industry work experience. 4) A minimum of five (5) years of experience managing projects in accordance with PMIs standards as presented in A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK Guide). 5) Experience with Agile Methodologies. Educational qualifications meeting at least one of the following levels: A minimum of a bachelor's degree in one of the computer sciences fields or in management information systems or five years of work experience in information technology, systems analysis, management analysis, program planning, program research, or program evaluation. They Must be onsite in Tallahassee. There are very specific requirements that they must match, if they are missing anything from the required list, do not send.
