Position Overview Responsible for defining and guiding end‑to‑end technology solutions that align with business strategy, regulatory requirements, and enterprise architecture direction. The role partners closely with business, product, and engineering leaders to design scalable, secure, and resilient architectures that support core banking operations, digital transformation, and customer experience initiatives. Core Responsibilities Design and evolve enterprise‑grade architectures for banking platforms, including core banking, payments, and digital channels. Act as a strategic bridge between business objectives and technology execution. Evaluate and recommend technologies, platforms, and integration approaches aligned to enterprise standards. Ensure compliance with banking regulations, data privacy laws, and security standards. Provide architectural leadership and guidance throughout solution delivery. Communicate architecture decisions clearly through diagrams, documentation, and executive‑ready presentations. Support the evolution of end‑to‑end data architectures, including domain‑aligned data products, shared data services, and analytical platforms. Top Technical Requirements Architecture Design – expertise designing scalable, secure, high‑performance architectures for banking systems; proficiency in microservices‑based architectures, event‑driven systems, and API‑first design; ability to define architectural standards, patterns, and guardrails. Cloud Technologies – hands‑on experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud; strong understanding of cloud‑native services, containerization, Kubernetes, and serverless architectures; ability to design hybrid and multi‑cloud solutions. Integration and Middleware – design enterprise integration strategies across legacy and modern platforms; proficiency with API management, messaging, and middleware tech such as Kafka, MuleSoft, or IBM MQ; understanding of synchronous/asynchronous patterns and service orchestration. Data Management – design and govern end‑to‑end data architectures across transactional, operational, and analytical systems; knowledge of relational, NoSQL, cloud‑native stores; experience with data warehousing, ETL/ELT, lakehouse patterns; ability to define domain‑aligned data products and contracts; partner with data governance teams. Artificial Intelligence and Intelligent Solutions – understanding of AI/ML capabilities for banking use cases; evaluate AI‑driven solutions; focus on scalability, explainability, security, regulatory compliance. Security, Risk, and Compliance – design solutions compliant with PCI DSS, GDPR, SOX; understand encryption, authentication, data protection mechanisms. Technology Evaluation and Modernization – lead modernization initiatives, cloud migration, legacy integration; assess third‑party platforms, APIs, vendor solutions. Technical and Organizational Leadership – provide guidance during implementation, mentor teams, promote best practices. Documentation and Communication – create clear diagrams, designs, and documentation; communicate complex technical concepts to business leaders and non‑technical stakeholders. Education and Experience Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Proven experience in solution or enterprise architecture within banking or financial services. Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and stakeholder engagement skills.
