Senior Analyst, Analytics and Reporting
The Commercial Integrated Care Analytics team supports DaVita Integrated Kidney Care (DaVita IKC), the renal population health management division serving approximately 70,000 patients. A key component of our strategy is developing advanced data analytics to inform program performance and model of care design. We are seeking a Senior Analyst to act as a project lead and trusted analytic partner. In this role, you will move beyond execution to proactively influence strategic direction, answer advanced analytical questions, and mentor other teammates. You will be responsible for monitoring the performance of value-based care programs and driving operational improvements through data. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The Senior Analyst acts as a project lead, mentors others, and is trusted for high-level UAT/QA. Responsibilities include: Proactive Analysis: Identify and address business questions by formulating analytic hypotheses and designing methodologies to inform decisions proactively. Insight Generation: Translate complex analyses into a narrative with clear recommendations, leveraging visualization tools to tell the story to executive leadership. Strategic Influence: Interpret how circumstances across the business and industry impact work and proactively adapt analytic approaches. Quantify and articulate the value generation of your work. Advanced Development: Write and optimize complex SQL queries against data warehouses to support analytic requests. Quality Assurance: Execute analyses with high accuracy and conduct timely QA of others' work to ensure data integrity. Tool Advocacy: Help teammates elevate their technical skills by advising and coaching. Advocate for technical tools that improve team performance and efficiency. Project Ownership: Effectively delegate and manage capacity to deliver priorities. Design and maintain management processes to drive projects forward using tools like Asana. Stakeholder Management: Manage timelines with stakeholders independently, providing proactive communication on impacted timelines and alignment on next steps. Mentorship: Provide mentorship, guidance, and training to Gemini teammates. Lead "Special Place" committee events and onboarding activities for new analysts. Scalability: Identify systematic challenges and design scalable solutions to improve performance and efficiency across the portfolio. Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree in business, public health, health informatics, analytics, math, statistics, computer science, or a related field. Experience: 2+ years of experience with business/data analysis (healthcare preferred). Proven experience leading projects or workstreams. Technical Skills: Advanced Proficiency in SQL: Ability to write complex queries, joins, and perform data manipulation. Intermediate to Advanced Tableau: Ability to design and utilize interactive dashboards. Advanced Excel & PowerPoint: Expert-level skills in data manipulation and executive-level presentation design. Competencies: Critical Thinking: Deductive and inductive reasoning skills; ability to assess credibility and bias of information. Communication: Ability to land "so what" messaging and cater details to different audiences (clinical, finance, operations). This position will be open for a minimum of three days. The Salary Range for the role is $69,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year. If a candidate is hired, they will be paid at least the minimum wage according to their geographical jurisdiction and the exemption status for the position.
