Emergency Room Technician is responsible for:

 Providing care to assigned patients, according to established plan of care and as competency documentation designates, under the direct supervision of the Charge Nurse/Team Leader and/or Emergency Department Attending Physician.

Qualifications

Qualification 

  • High School diploma or equivalency
  • Successful completion of a state-approved Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) course that meets or exceeds the National Emergency Medical Services Education Standards for the Emergency Medical Technician is preferred.
  • Successful completion of the cognitive and psychomotor exam for the National Registry of EMTs at a Basic, Intermediate, or Paramedic level
  • 1 year of recent Emergency Department experience as an emergency room technician or at least one year of experience as a primary EMS field provider or military equivalent
  • BLS through American Heart Association, American Red Cross
  • Able to speak and write English Fluently
  • Demonstrated communication, organization, and critical thinking skills.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
