Data Analyst
We are looking for an experienced Data Analyst with 2-4 years of hands-on experience in SQL, Power BI, and financial data environments. In this role, you will take ownership of complex data initiatives, build scalable reporting solutions, and serve as a trusted analytical partner to Finance leadership. You will transform raw data into actionable insights that directly influence financial strategy and operational decision making. While positioned within the Finance department, this role primarily supports enterprise-wide reporting needs rather than direct financial analysis. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI Write, optimize, and maintain SQL queries to extract and transform data from multiple systems Utilize Microsoft Excel to support data analysis and reporting requirements Partner with operational, clinical, administrative, and leadership teams to gather reporting requirements Develop and maintain data models to support consistent and scalable reporting Produce standard and ad hoc reports to support business operations Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and consistency of data across systems and reports Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights and visualizations for non-technical users Identify opportunities to automate and improve reporting processes Document data sources, definitions, and reporting logic Support data governance and standardization efforts across the organization Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Business, or a related field 2-4 years of experience with SQL and Power BI Strong proficiency in SQL (joins, unions, temp tables) Advanced experience with Power BI (data modeling, DAX, row level security, dashboard design) Solid understanding of analytical methods, data visualization best practices, and BI architecture Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, communicate insights, and work with senior stakeholders Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal oversight Why Choose Iowa Ortho?
