About
Qualifications
Associate's degree in computer technology or equivalent technician training and on the job experience; industry certifications a plus
Five years' experience in network installation, maintenance, and administration, preferred
Experience with network device configurations: routers, switches, servers, printers, desktops, Chromebooks, cameras, etc.
Understanding of network architectures including LAN/WAN topologies and virtual networking
Knowledge and experience with Windows OS (workstation and server) and Microsoft Active Directory
Experience with network and user based software applications such as Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Office, Google Suite for Education, and VMware
Time management and organizational skills
Excellent interpersonal and follow-up skills
Ability to work without direct supervision
Such alternatives to the above as the Board of Trustees find appropriate and acceptable
Job Responsibilities
Perform network administration and problem resolution as they pertain to the network (local and wide area)
Install, configure and maintain all LAN/WAN hardware such as file servers, routers, firewalls, switches, VolP phone system, and networked peripheral devices
Assists with access control systems
Maintain inventory of network devices
Manage backup systems
Assists with maintenance of Internet content filtering hardware and software
Administer user accounts across systems
Assists in the selection of technology equipment and systems
Assists with training district personnel in the proper use of technology
Support with device repairs: desktops, laptops, and Chromebooks
Promotes good public relations through professional and ethical execution of job responsibilities.
Performs other duties as directed.
