Job Title: Journalier (General Laborer) – Production & Shipping

Job Summary

The Journalier – Production & Shipping is responsible for supporting daily manufacturing and shipping operations. This position assists with product assembly, material handling, packaging, order preparation, and shipment activities while maintaining quality, safety, and productivity standards.

Key Responsibilities

Production

  • Assist in the assembly and fabrication of products according to specifications and quality standards.
  • Prepare materials and components for production.
  • Operate basic tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Perform quality inspections and report defects or discrepancies.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of production areas.
  • Support production teams in meeting daily output targets.

Shipping & Receiving

  • Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment.
  • Load and unload trucks and organize materials in designated storage areas.
  • Label, wrap, and secure products for transportation.

General Duties

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Work collaboratively with production, warehouse, and shipping teams.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
  • Wood shop glue panels
  • Clean the shop pick up and clean up

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing, production, warehouse, or shipping environment is an asset.
  • Ability to use hand tools and basic warehouse equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs (23 kg).
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the workday.
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing and warehouse environment.

Work Environment

  • Manufacturing and shipping facility.
  • Exposure to machinery, warehouse equipment, and varying temperatures.
  • Requires adherence to all safety regulations and use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

Reporting To: Production and Shipping Supervisor
Employment Type: Full-Time / Part-Time (as applicable)
Department: Operations – Production & Shipping
