About

Overview:

Some careers are just jobs. This one is different. At Pinnacle Family Services, the work you do every day has a real and lasting impact on children and families who need it most.

For over 30 years, we've provided evidence-based therapeutic foster care and behavioral health services to at-risk youth across North Carolina and South Carolina — specializing in serving children who have experienced trauma, loss, abuse, or neglect. Our approach is trauma-informed and relationship-focused, because we know that healing happens through connection.

When you join Pinnacle, you're not just joining an organization — you're joining a community of professionals who show up every day because they genuinely believe in this work.

Pinnacle Family Services is part of Health Connect America, a COA-accredited family of behavioral health brands serving children, families, and adults across nine states. That means you'll have the close-knit culture and mission focus of a team that's been doing this work for decades, backed by the resources, clinical infrastructure, and organizational support to help you do it well. Every program across our network shares the same commitment — compassionate, client-centered care that meets people where they are and walks alongside them toward something better.

Come make a difference and grow with us.

Responsibilities:

If you’re someone who believes that mental health care is most effective when it’s personalized, evidence-based, and delivered with compassion, this role was built for you. As a Licensed Therapist at Health Connect America, you’ll provide high-quality therapeutic services to individuals and families, supporting their emotional well-being while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic, coordinated care.

What You'll Do

As a Licensed Therapist, you’ll lead clinical care for your caseload, providing assessments, treatment planning, and therapeutic interventions tailored to each client’s needs. Day to day, you can expect to:

  • Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments to determine client needs and appropriate interventions

  • Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, families, and the treatment team, setting measurable goals and objectives

  • Deliver therapy through individual, group, and family sessions using evidence-based techniques for mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral challenges

  • Monitor client progress regularly and adjust treatment plans as needed to ensure effective outcomes

  • Provide crisis intervention, develop safety plans, and coordinate with emergency services when necessary

  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation of all interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes in accordance with company and regulatory standards

  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary treatment teams, ensuring integrated and holistic care

  • Engage in community outreach and marketing efforts to promote mental health services and connect new clients to care

  • Connect clients and families with additional resources and supports to address broader needs

  • Participate in ongoing professional development, training, and staying current with best practices and emerging treatment modalities

What to Expect

This role is dynamic and client-focused, requiring clinical expertise, strong organizational skills, and the ability to balance direct care with collaboration and outreach. You’ll work closely with clients, families, and treatment teams, ensuring high-quality, coordinated care across multiple settings.

Licensed clinicians will also supervise others as appropriate, and their NPI may be used for billing services delivered under their supervision. Maintaining current licensure, meeting all training requirements, and adhering to regulatory standards are essential responsibilities.

Supporting Quality & Compliance

You’ll ensure that all clinical services comply with Health Connect America policies, state regulations, and professional standards. Through diligent documentation, evidence-based care, and proactive client engagement, you’ll help deliver consistent, high-quality mental health services that improve outcomes for the individuals and families you serve.

Qualifications:
