Project Lead

Location: Austin, TX (WFM Work From Office)

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead and manage complex software development projects within our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in program management, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget. This role requires exceptional leadership skills, the ability to collaborate with cross functional teams, and a deep understanding of IT business processes.

Responsibilities:

• Direct, manage, plan, and administer project activities within the software development division.
• Oversee complex and cross functional programs and projects from design and development through to production.
• Utilize multiple vendors and ensure effective collaboration across teams.
• Lead contingency planning and risk mitigation efforts to address potential project challenges.
• Develop, plan, and schedule the development, introduction, communication, and maintenance of all projects.
• Contain and resolve issues within the program that do not require sponsor attention.
• Communicate program performance to program sponsors and the executive team.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for the program sponsor and a key member of the Governance team.
• Determine the impact of changes on the business case and re forecast value creation accordingly.
• Identify areas for internal improvement and develop actionable plans for implementation.

Mandatory Skills:

• Proven experience in program management with a focus on software development.
• Master level proficiency in automated project management tools such as Microsoft Project.
• Advanced proficiency in analytical, administrative capabilities, project management, presentation skill, and effective communication skills (both verbal and written).
• Experience managing cross functional and end to end IT business processes.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in all phases of systems development from concept through installation and maintenance.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and frameworks.
• Experience with specific technologies relevant to our software development projects (to be specified during the interview process).

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
• PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is required.
• 8+ years of project management, program management, or IT management experience, including financial and schedule performance reporting.
• 5+ years of experience managing cross functional and end to end IT business processes.
• 5+ years of experience in required technology relevant to software development.
