## Regional Sales ManagerLansing,Michigan,USA## **This role in summary**Whirlpool is currently seeking qualified candidates for a Regional Sales Manager. This role is responsible for the Midwestern region (MI, IN, OH, WV, IL, WI, MN, IA, MO, ND, SD, NE, KS).The Sales Manager for Commercial Laundry is responsible for developing and executing specific growth strategies. As an owner of a designated region within the business unit, this individual will need to grow revenue, share, and volume with commercial laundry distributors and route operators. This individual will work across multiple functions within a unique business unit within Whirlpool Corporation.## **Your responsibilities will include*** Developing a distribution plan for the region, with individual strategies per customer, territory and segment* Knowledge or experience in all three segments in the industry (Vended/Coin, OPL and Multihousing/Route)* Developing/sustaining key relationships with existing and potential new customers* Creating a go-to-market plan across touchpoints to deliver multiple year growth plans* Immerse self in product training and provide product/features to be able to provide in depth sales trainings in market* Collaborate with marketing and brand for successful go-to-market plans* Collaborate with engineering and product development on feature/product feedback and market needs assessment and launches* Be a team player among a North American sales team by sharing best practices, developing insightful ways to win together, and leveraging different experiences* Become a learner and a leader in the laundry trade associations* Willingness to travel for extended periods of time throughout a large region covering multiple states.## **Minimum requirements*** Bachelor’s Degree* 5+ years of sales experience in the commercial laundry industry## **Preferred skills and experiences*** Technical selling experience* Learner mentality* Solution oriented* Strong analytical and negotiation skills* Exceptional communicator with impeccable interpersonal skills* Insatiable appetite to meet and exceed revenue, profit, and volume goals* Self-starter with the ability to develop and drive sales strategy* Dynamic motivator/leader* Strong driver of change* Solid knowledge of professional sales process and insights-driven selling* Passion for product knowledge* Strong familiarity with multi housing, vended and OPL segments* In-depth intelligence of the industry## **What we offer**, Whirlpool employee discount, fitness &;; educational reimbursement programs, kitchenettes, and more!
