Job Title
Join our dynamic team in Richardson, TX, a vibrant city known for its thriving technology sector and excellent quality of life. This engineering position supports the activation, migration, modification, and troubleshooting of various VoIP services provided to our end-user customers and vendors in the Public Sector. Engineers manage a daily schedule of service activities and interact with multiple internal and external parties, performing configurations, modifications, and deletions in the company's network and provisioning systems. Responsibilities
Verify/validate order details and work scope, perform pre-install testing, resolve any issues that could impact service or delay the due date. Process telephone number ports and verify completion. Complete new telephone number activations. Complete service/TN migrations between different VoIP products. Complete the removal of system translations associated with service disconnects. Lead customer and vendor activation conference bridges. Perform call traces to verify correct end-to-end call routing and troubleshoot and resolve issues as necessary. Perform collaborative service installation and troubleshooting activities with peer workgroups. Drive escalations with the appropriate internal/external teams for resolution. Complete all assigned tasks in the company's workflow systems within the required SLA. Document detailed notes in applicable engineering systems/applications. Must Have Skills
Well-versed in overall telecommunications, particularly Voice over IP (VoIP). Strong customer service/vendor management experience. Willingness to work rotating shifts including occasional weekends and holidays. Ability to obtain a government security clearance. Experience with Cisco Broadsoft/Broadworks and Sonus Switches. Desired Skills
Experience with routers, switches, firewalls, session border controllers, and connectivity correlation from end-to-end. Familiarity with IP phones, analog gateways, paging, and adjunct equipment (Polycom, Ribbon, Cisco, Audiocodes). Working knowledge of Client Office applications (Excel, Word) and/or Google Workspace (Gmail, Sheets, Docs, Drive).
