Orange Beach City Schools Job Goal: To assist the school system in the efficient collection, input, auditing, and reporting of data. To facilitate the school system's use of student information software and compliance with state and local data management goals. Qualifications: Holds a high school diploma or equivalent Post-secondary training in computer software applications preferred Experience with ALSDE Student Information Software (PowerSchool) preferred Strong knowledge of computer software, equipment, and data processing functions Experience in software application training Ability to use technology to communicate, manage data, and produce/submit required reports, correspondence, and/or school information Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to relate complex technical concepts Demonstrates aptitude or competence for assigned responsibilities Alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board might find appropriate and acceptable Performance Responsibilities: Configure and manage the district's Student Information Systems software (i.e., PowerSchool) Provide on-demand district reports regarding scheduling, attendance, discipline, etc Construct standard and custom reports Analyze data Oversee and manage the parent and student web portals Provide compliance reporting to the ALSDE Oversee third-party data imports Manage curriculum software Manage communication and registration software Oversee information and data security Create district forms for registration, technical support, maintenance, etc Work with administration to develop procedures for student registration to include training district office staff and registrars Maintain oversight of student and employee internet and software accounts, devices, and integrations (i.e., District Administrator for Google Workplace) Address system and school technology issues Properly uses and cares for equipment and material resources of the school system Supports and complies with school system rules, administrative procedures, local Board policies, and state, federal, and local regulations Performs other tasks and assumes other responsibilities as may be assigned by supervisor(s) Terms of Employment/Salary: 12 month (240 Days) / To be determined, commensurate with local salary matrix, credentials, and experience. Evaluation: Performance to be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Certified/Classified Personnel.
