About
Responsibilities
Oversee fast-moving, multifaceted publications from start to finish; draft, edit and secure necessary approvals.
Collaborate closely with attorneys, the thought leadership team, business development, PR and marketing technology teams to develop content strategies aligned with business goals.
Build cohesive marketing campaigns to maximize the Firm’s thought leadership and strengthen the Skadden brand.
Review industry publications to stay current on legal news and practice developments.
Assist with practice‑specific content projects as needed.
Work with the social media team to develop campaigns and strategies that promote thought leadership and boost engagement.
Develop innovative vehicles for distribution and promotion of thought‑leadership content.
Deploy graphics and data visualizations in publications.
Ensure all content complies with firm policies, brand guidelines and style.
Maintain confidentiality, use discretion, and exercise independent and sound judgment.
Qualifications
Excellent writing, editing, proofreading and journalistic interviewing skills.
Current knowledge of industry best practices, trends and techniques.
Proficiency with relevant firm computer software (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, InDesign, in‑house AI platforms).
Effective interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical, troubleshooting, organizational and planning skills.
Ability to handle multiple projects and shifting priorities, prioritizing and delegating effectively.
Ability to work well in a demanding and fast‑paced environment, independently and as part of a team.
Ability to meet deadlines and comply with firm operations, policies and procedures.
Bachelor’s degree; minimum seven years of experience in a content marketing function; legal content and marketing experience preferred.
Benefits Competitive salary range: $175,000 – $195,000. Benefits include comprehensive health care (medical, dental, vision), savings plan/401(k), voluntary benefits, generous paid time off, parental leave options, and professional development opportunities.
