Reporting to the Quality/Technical Manager and Production Manager you will implement and maintain the QMS ensuring all products meet customer and legal requirements.
What your day to day will look like: Monitor product quality, food safety, and manufacturing processes throughout production.
Verify daily production records and ensure compliance with quality standards.
Ensure adherence to Food Safety, Hygiene, and SOP requirements.
Deliver staff inductions, training, and refresher training; maintain training records.
Liaise with Production and Planning to ensure customer requirements, orders, labels, and pallets are correct.
Conduct fabrication audits and work with Maintenance to close out non-conformances.
Perform pre-operational inspections and cleaning verification, addressing any issues identified.
Maintain supplier approval documentation and communicate quality matters with suppliers.
Report non-conformances to management and support corrective actions.
Assist with customer, regulatory, and third-party audits.
What you will need to succeed: Knowledge of BRC and Bord Bia standards.
Experience in a food production environment.
Understanding of quality and technical requirements within chilled and frozen food production.
Strong attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to build effective relationships across departments and work well under pressure.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Full driving licence required.
Flexibility to work additional hours during peak production periods.
