Purpose of the job The Senior Manager of Data & Platform is responsible for leading the strategic design, integration, and operational intelligence of the organization’s Business Intelligence and data platform ecosystem. This role drives enterprise BI platform success by overseeing the full data lifecycle, including ingestion, transformation (ETL), modeling, and reporting. The Senior Manager ensures scalable, reliable, and high‑performing data solutions that support data‑driven decision‑making.
This leader owns and governs enterprise BI platforms, including Business Objects, Tableau, Power BI, Snowflake, and AI‑enabled analytics tools. This role is accountable for platform performance, adoption, and modernization, while providing insights and recommendations to leadership on platform health, usage, and strategic investments. This leader manages data engineers, analysts, and technical leads, drives Snowflake integration and ETL development, and enables self‑service analytics capabilities while maintaining strong data governance and integrity.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and implement a data and BI platform strategy aligned to business and IT priorities
Drive Snowflake integration and enterprise data platform modernization
Establish standards for data architecture, ETL pipelines, and platform governance
Lead and manage data engineering teams responsible for ETL and data pipelines
Oversee development of scalable data ingestion and transformation processes
Ensure data quality, reliability, and availability across all platforms
Own and manage enterprise BI tools including Business Objects, Tableau, Power BI, and Snowflake
Drive BI platform consolidation and migration strategies
Enable self‑service analytics while maintaining governance and standards
Establish and monitor operational intelligence metrics including platform adoption, performance, and reliability
Provide insights and recommendations to leadership on platform health and performance
Partner with business and product teams to prioritize platform initiatives
Manage backlog and delivery of platform‑related work
Provide communication on platform initiatives and performance
Lead technical teams and provide hands‑on guidance across ETL, SQL, and BI tools
Develop and mentor data engineers and technical leads
Support enterprise data, analytics, and automation initiatives
Perform all other duties as assigned
Engage the support and buy‑in of leaders within the organization by promoting the importance and value of the Business Intelligence model and processes.
Lead and participate in other corporate projects as assigned.
This position has an onsite expectation of 2 days per week and requires a full‑time work schedule. Full‑time is defined as working at least 40 hours per week, plus any additional hours as requested or as needed to meet business requirements.
