Position OverviewBlack Hills State University is seeking a full‑time, tenure‑track Assistant Professor of Graphic Design to teach courses in graphic, web design, and related fields. The course load is four classes per semester.DutiesTeach beginning, intermediate, and advanced graphic design and web design courses within the BFA and communication studies programs.Develop and update course materials, integrate business and marketing applications of design, and engage students with real‑world projects.Contribute to curriculum development and departmental service as required.QualificationsMFA in graphic design or closely related field (required).Experience teaching graphic design and expertise in Adobe Creative Suite and related imaging software.Preferred: Background in advertising and marketing, professional workshop experience in digital media or related field.Application RequirementsApplicants must submit a letter of application, curriculum vitae, official transcripts, names and contact information for three professional references, and a portfolio of at least 20 professional design images.Applications must be made online at
