Clare Homecare and Daycare at Home Services Clare Homecare and Daycare at Home Services currently has a number of part-time, permanent positions available.
We have clients needing services across county Clare, including North & East Co.
Clare Part-time roles to suit those looking for flexible working conditions.
Block shifts/hours are available on different days of the week.
No weekend or shift work.
The Alzheimer Society of Ireland works across the country in the heart of local communities providing dementia specific services and supports and advocating for the rights and needs of all people living with dementia and their Carers.
Our vision is an Ireland where no one goes through dementia alone and where policies and services respond appropriately to the person with dementia and their Carers, at the times they need support.
A national non-profit organisation, The Alzheimer Society of Ireland is person centred, rights-based and grassroots led with the voice of the person with dementia and their Carer at its core.
The ASI is currently recruiting Care Workers who will work in our Clare Homecare & Day Care at Home services.
The successful candidates will work in assigned family homes across Co.
Clare.
These are permanent contracts working up to 20 hours per week.
About the Roles Our Home Care Workers provide home-based, personal care to people living with dementia, supporting their activities of daily living and wellbeing in their own homes, e.g.
meal preparation, personal care (toileting, showering, bed baths etc.).
Our Daycare at Home Care Workers deliver home-based social activities to provide cognitive and social stimulation too people living with dementia.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing person centred care to people with dementia in the client's own home.
You will need good communication and organisational skills and be able to work on your own initiative.
To be successful in this position it is essential you possess previous experience of undertaking social and cognitive stimulation activities with people with dementia, older people or people with intellectual disabilities.
Candidates in this area must have a full clean driving license and access to a car to be considered for this role.
A FETAC level 5 is desirable.
Confidence in using IT/Email is also desirable.

- Home Care Job Title: Home Care Worker Job Location: Co.
Clare Reports to: Homecare Coordinator The purpose of the role is to provide care to people with dementia and support that is person centred, addressing their needs to enhance their quality of life.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: Client Care Provision Build up trusting relationships with clients and their carers so that they feel secure and welcome in the service.
Assist the Nurse/Daycare Manager of the service in the assessment and updating of care plans for each client.
Carry out care plan activities.
Provision of personal care if needed including help with meals, toileting, etc.
Ensure that observations are reported in a timely manner.
Respect the rights, dignity and confidentiality of all clients.
In consultation with the Nurse/Daycare Manager, identify and develop activities to enhance the quality of care delivered.
In consultation with the Nurse / Daycare Manager assist clients and their carers in their dealings with other service providers in the community.
Service Administration Adhere to service provision, Heath and Safety policies and procedures set out by the Society.
Assist in the maintenance of service records as directed by the Nurse/Daycare Manager Assist in promoting a positive and safe environment and bring issues of concern to the Nurse/Daycare Managers attention.
Complete all training requirements identified by the Nurse/Daycare Manager.
Maintain routine contact with the Nurse/Daycare Manager.
Attend team and one to one meetings with the Nurse/Daycare Manager to contribute to the on going development and enhancement of the service.
- Daycare at Home Job Title: Daycare at Home Care Worker Job Location: Co.
Clare Reports to: Nurse / Daycare at Home Coordinator The purpose of the role is to provide a service in the home for the person with dementia who would normally attend our day care centres.
The service will deliver social activities to provide cognitive and social stimulation to clients of The ASI.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: Client Care Provision Build up trusting relationships with clients and their carers so that they feel secure in availing of the Day Care at Home service.
Assist the Nurse/Daycare Manager of the service in the assessment and updating of care plans for each client.
Carry out care plan activities to provide and promote cognitive and social stimulation Provide minimal levels of personal care if needed including help with meals, toileting, etc.
as and when required.
Ensure observations are reported in a timely manner to the Nurse/Daycare Manager.
Respect the rights, dignity and confidentiality of all clients.
In consultation with the Nurse/Daycare Manager, identify and develop activities to enhance the quality of care delivered.

JOB HOLDER ENTRY REQUIRMENTS: Knowledge (Education & Related Experience): Educated to Leaving Certificate or equivalent FETAC level 5 desirable Experience in health, social or disability care desirable Confidence in using IT/Email desirable.
