Walsh Windows is a family owned and run business that has been in operation in Limerick since 1970.
The company currently supplies both uPVC and Aluminium solutions to both the domestic and commercial markets.
Due to current workload for 2026, we will require an additional QS to work on pricing for larger projects.
The successful candidate will work as part of the Estimating Team to schedule and price large scale glazing projects for tier one Main Contractors.
Duties will include but will not be limited to the following: Receive enquiries from customers and schedule all items to be priced.
Review drawings and performance specifications to ensure all work requirements are captured in our tender.
Send request for quotations out to various suppliers to get prices on all materials Compile tender price on spreadsheet template for review by senior management and ensure tender is issued prior to deadline.
Follow up on all tenders priced to get feedback from the customer.
Assist project teams in the running of larger projects.
Tasks would include submission of project valuations on a monthly basis where required and the pricing of any variations that arise on larger projects.
The successful candidate will possess the following: Third Degree Qualification in Quantity Surveying is desirable but not absolutely necessary.
Minimum 3-5 years experience in a similar role preferably within the glazing industry but in the construction industry as a minimum.
Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
