About the Role
We are seeking an ambitious and technically minded Technical Sales Engineer to join a growing team based in Glasgow. This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially driven professional to develop relationships across a range of industrial, construction and infrastructure sectors while providing technically sound solutions that improve workplace safety.
The successful candidate will combine strong sales skills with technical understanding to identify customer needs, specify suitable solutions and support projects from initial enquiry through to completion.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and manage relationships with existing and prospective customers throughout Scotland and surrounding regions.
* Identify new business opportunities across industrial, manufacturing, utilities, construction and infrastructure sectors.
* Conduct site visits and surveys to understand customer requirements and challenges.
* Provide technical advice and prepare proposals, quotations and solution recommendations.
* Work closely with internal engineering, operations and project teams to deliver customer solutions.
* Manage the sales pipeline and maintain accurate records using CRM systems.
* Deliver presentations and product demonstrations to customers and stakeholders.
* Represent the business at industry events, exhibitions and networking opportunities.
* Achieve agreed sales and growth targets.
About You
* Experience in technical sales, engineering sales or specification sales.
* A technical qualification in engineering or equivalent industry experience would be advantageous.
* Strong commercial awareness and a consultative sales approach.
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
* Ability to understand technical products and communicate solutions clearly to customers.
* Self-motivated, organised and capable of managing a territory effectively.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
* Full UK driving licence.
