The Spa Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and supervising the spa team as well as overseeing the day to day operations of The Edge; to include, front desk lead and coverage, spa attendant duties, all MOD responsibilities, supporting team members to achieve goals and exceed guest expectations. The Spa Supervisor ensures a smooth flow of business and a high level of guest satisfaction, being present on the floor consistently, demonstrating excellence and the highest standards. The Spa supervisor manages the spa team schedules to provide the best possible guest experience, and creates and updates SOP's to improve procedures and protocols for the team. The Spa Supervisor works closely with the Wellbeing Supervisor on daily operations, generating new ideas for business revenue, community outreach, retail and backbar inventory and daily operations of both departments. The Spa Supervisor communicates with the Director on all daily operational needs, soundboarding new ideas and opportunities, and in support of the general wellbeing of the team.
Key responsibilities include performing as MOD; including attending Daily Rally meetings, team calls / meetings, checking emails and schedule regularly, responding to other departments communication in a timely manner, status sheet awareness, share critical information with the team. Be attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to all guests, managers, and team members. Handle guest complaints or problems immediately, ensuring guest satisfaction. Communicate all of the above to management to ensure communication to all necessary departments. Ensure the spa is prepared for proper opening and closing each day with the highest standards of attention to detail. Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the facilities including ensuring facility/amenities are in proper working order. Arrange all spa appointments and services/activities and packages, and assist in set up for wellness/fitness events and experiences. Support Director of Wellbeing with all administrative functions of the Spa including but not limited to; using and updating Spa software, maintaining inventory of supplies and retail, placing product orders, team trainings, answering telephones, making appointments, and daily operations. Provide Spa tours as necessary. Oversee efficiency of Spa operations at the Spa front desk via proper scheduling of appointments and staff. Review/revise scheduling daily according to business demands. Assist with billing for all Spa services and retail sales including preparing receipts. Assist with Group Bookings including spreadsheets, contracts, treatments, and scheduling team members. Be thoroughly familiar with and provide instruction on Spa software. Assist with inventories (receiving,inputting,counts) and cost control. Assist in monitoring and evaluating spa employees. Train Spa employees as necessary. Other duties as assigned.
Required qualifications include being available weekends, holidays, etc. Effectively communicate both verbally and written, with all levels of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner. Effectively listen to, understand, and clarify concerns raised by employees and guests. Multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines. Maximize efforts towards productivity, identify problem areas and assist in implementing solutions. Effectively handle problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary. Maintain the confidentiality of information. Show initiative, including anticipating guest or operational needs. Always maintain a friendly and warm demeanor. Hygiene is key in this environment due to the proximity of working with the guests. Medium work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Perform other duties as assigned.
Preferred qualifications include experience at a luxury hospitality property. 1-year experience in a spa or related field preferred and appreciated. 1-year retail experience appreciated.
