About the Role: As a Temporary Registered General Nurse, you will provide high-quality nursing care, ensuring safe and effective clinical practice for patients and residents.
You will take responsibility for medication administration, person-centred care planning, and accurate documentation, while maintaining the highest standards of infection prevention and control.
Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will support the delivery of consistent, compassionate care throughout your assignment.
Key Responsibilities: Administer prescribed medications safely and accurately, following current policies and guidelines.
Monitor, assess, and record patients conditions, escalating concerns promptly to the appropriate clinician.
Develop, implement, and review individualised care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and the wider care team.
Maintain clear, timely, and accurate nursing documentation and clinical records.
Implement and adhere to infection prevention and control protocols in all aspects of care.
Assist with personal care and daily living activities, promoting dignity, comfort, and independence.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to coordinate and deliver holistic care.
Contribute to handovers and team meetings to ensure continuity and quality of care.
Key Requirements: Current NMBI registration as a Registered General Nurse (RGN).
Proven experience in medication administration and management in a clinical setting.
Strong competence in care planning and clinical documentation.
Solid understanding of infection prevention and control standards and practices.
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and adapt to a temporary/agency environment.
Excellent clinical judgement, observational skills, and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centred approach.
Desirable Skills: Previous experience in residential, community, or long-term care settings.
Familiarity with electronic care planning and documentation systems.
Experience working in temporary or agency nursing roles.
Qualifications: Registered General Nurse qualification recognised by NMBI.
Current NMBI registration in good standing.
Up-to-date mandatory training (e.g.
Manual Handling, CPR/Basic Life Support, Safeguarding) preferred.
