About the Role We require an experienced health, safety, environmental and quality (HSEQ) professional to lead on internal HSEQ management and to provide HSEQ support and advice across the companys portfolio of projects.
The split of internal and project level support will vary, but it is anticipated to be approximately 40% internal and 60% projects.
The role requires you to have a thorough, quality driven, but pragmatic approach to health & safety management.
Attention to detail and context can be critical in ensuring correct standards and practices are being adhered to.
You will be required to attend Danus office in central Dublin a minimum of two days per week; this is essential.
You will regularly attend construction sites, this is likely to be once per week.
Responsibilities Project-level HSEQ Support Act as H&S advisor on construction projects as part of Owners Engineer team.
Provide advice and support to project teams to assist them in delivering projects safely.
Provide design-stage safety advice to project teams and stakeholders.
Advise and support Danu team in performing the Project Supervisor for the Design Process (PSDP) or Principal Designer (PD) role.
Prepare Preliminary Safety & Health Plans.
Attend construction sites to perform H&S inspections and/or audits.
Prepare and lead HAZID workshops and design safety workshops.
Review HSEQ documentation issued by construction contractors, including RAMS, CSSHP, Quality Management Plan, Emergency Response Plan, Construction & Environmental Management Plan, Traffic Management Plan, etc.
Liaise and work closely with clients HSEQ team.
Log and record non-conformity reports (NCRs).
Monitor and liaise with contractors performing the Project Supervisor for the Construction Phase (PSCS) and Principal Contractor (PC) roles.
Prepare HSEQ inspection/audit reports for issue to clients.
Attend on site or off site meetings with contractors, clients and Danu team.
Internal Company HSEQ Support Update and manage HSEQ related documentation required by the company, including Safety Statement, Safety Policy, Environmental Policy, and others.
Manage sub-consultants engaged by the company to provide HSEQ support on projects.
Regularly meet with HSEQ sub-consultants to ensure consistency of approach.
Lead the companys drive towards ISO accreditation for ISO.
Manage and maintain ISO systems to ensure continued compliance.
Help to co-ordinate and track HSEQ related training for staff.
Attend management meetings to provide updates on HSEQ activities.
Chair quarterly H&S meetings with all project staff.
Ensure Danu staff are sufficiently trained to perform the Project Supervisor Design Process (PSDP) and Principal Designer (PD) roles.
Industry Knowledge Maintain and share knowledge of industry activity, lessons learned and key notifications relating to H&S matters.
Monitor relevant changes to HSEQ legislation and regulations that are applicable to the companys activities.
Actively participate in CPD courses to further professional training and development.
Engagement with industry clients, contractors, designers and equipment suppliers to ensure awareness of industry best practice.

Input positively and constructively to Danu meetings with the aim of continuously improving Danus performance and delivery to clients.
Person Requirements Degree qualified.
Ten years experience in a construction related H&S role in Ireland, ideally within renewable energy or a related sector.
Experience and strong understanding of the PSDP role is essential.
Experience developing in-company HSEQ policies, systems and documentation would be a significant advantage.
Safe Pass and Manual Handing training are essential.
Construction management and safety training is essential.
Knowledge and experience of the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations 2013 (Ireland) is essential.
Knowledge and experience of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 (UK) would be a significant advantage.
Knowledge and understanding of wind farms, solar farms, energy storage or related projects would be an advantage.
Full driving licence and access to vehicle.
Strong communicator; must be confident participating in meetings and discussions.
Strong report writing skills and ability to produce professional, presentable documents. xyswxtq
Able to attend our Dublin office regularly (minimum twice per week, preferably ).
Willing to travel regularly throughout Ireland & UK to attend project sites (1-2 per week likely) Legally entitled to work in Ireland.
