HVAC Engineer for one of our multinational clients in Dublin.
Role The successful candidate will report to the Mechanical/HVAC Department Manager and work closely with Project Managers on assigned projects.
Acting as the Mechanical/HVAC discipline lead, the role will involve the delivery of engineering solutions across a range of industrial sectors, including pharmaceutical, semiconductor, and advanced manufacturing facilities.
Responsibilities Lead the conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design of Mechanical and HVAC systems for pharmaceutical, semiconductor, and other industrial production facilities.
Develop Airflow and Instrumentation Diagrams (A&IDs) and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) for HVAC and utility systems throughout all project phases.
Prepare specifications for air handling units (AHUs), mechanical equipment, piping systems, and associated plant.
Conduct energy audits and energy efficiency assessments for both existing and proposed installations.
Develop Building Management System (BMS) sequences of operation through all stages of design.
Design and specify fire protection systems to meet project and client requirements.
Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
Deliver HVAC and Mechanical engineering packages, specifications, drawings, and technical documentation on schedule while maintaining the highest quality and safety standards.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to Mechanical and HVAC engineering team members, supporting their professional development.
Collaborate effectively with clients, vendors, project teams, and multidisciplinary engineering groups to ensure successful project execution.
Qualifications Honours Degree (Level 8 or equivalent) in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or a related discipline.
Chartered Engineer status, or actively working towards chartership with a recognised professional institution.
Experience The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience within the pharmaceutical and/or semiconductor industries, including: Design and development of HVAC solutions for controlled cleanroom environments.
Evaluation, selection, and technical specification of air handling units and specialised ventilation equipment.
Design and integration of chilled water and glycol-based cooling networks.
Engineering of steam production, distribution, and condensate recovery systems.
Design of hot water generation and circulation systems.
Development of industrial cooling water infrastructure and associated services.
Design and specification of compressed air generation, storage, and distribution systems.
Preparation of technical requirements and equipment specifications for mechanical plant, including chillers, boilers, cooling towers, pumps, compressors, and ancillary systems.
Undertaking hazard identification, risk evaluations, safety assessments, and constructability analyses. xyswxtq
Development of tender packages, procurement documentation, and construction-ready engineering deliverables.
