Position Summary Caremark LLC, a CVS Health company, is hiring a Manager, Business Analytics in Woonsocket, RI. The role applies statistical techniques, analyzes user needs, and develops data analytics solutions to summarize data and provide actionable business information. Responsibilities Apply principles and techniques of mathematical and statistical analysis to interpret data and support large analytics projects. Perform monthly data pulls and review performance metrics to identify and mitigate financial risk. Collaborate cross‑functionally with underwriting, finance, and accounting teams to understand gaps and improve processes that impact client financial performance. Act as an analytics product owner, translating business needs into data analytics projects and actions. Consult with internal clients to identify opportunities for data analytics solutions, support projects through business case development, data exploration, model building, experiment design, and performance evaluation. Design experiments to test hypotheses and quantify the impacts of improvement initiatives. Summarize and report results of statistical analyses; create presentations to inform business partners and leadership teams on optimization opportunities. Design and implement robust analytic and reporting solutions using SAS, SQL, Access, and Excel. Structure data analysis, identify trends and key drivers impacting results, and translate findings into analytical problems. Develop predictive modeling, statistical analysis, data reports, mathematical analysis methods, and performance metrics. Create data analytics solutions that balance business and technical trade‑offs with an advanced understanding of business strategy and big‑data environments. Perform lookback analysis to review underwriting assumptions, contract language, and actual results, providing data‑driven recommendations to senior leadership. Leverage expertise in mathematical methods, statistical analyses, predictive and descriptive modeling, sampling techniques, and data collection methods to evaluate data sources for reliability and usability. Develop reporting packages and presentations for management to recommend software applications for statistical modeling, graphic analysis, and analytics best practices. Provide advanced statistical analytics support to drive data‑driven decision making and organizational goals. Qualifications Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Statistics, Mathematics, Business Analytics, Data Science, or a related field. At least two (2) years of experience in a related occupation. Two (2) years of experience in each of the following areas: Data analytics on large data sets in healthcare, business, or retail sectors Use of SAS or SQL Experience with JIRA, Rally, or Confluence Visualization tools, including PowerBI or Tableau Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Statistical analysis and model building Extract/Transform/Load (ETL) processes Designing data models and solutions for analytical and reporting use cases Supporting large data, analytics, and technology modernization initiatives Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Access Advanced Excel: VBA, pivot tables, advanced formulas, conditional formatting
Six (6) months of experience in each of the following areas: Data warehousing Domain support for healthcare or retail organizations
Pay $72,384.00 to $145,860.00 per year. The actual base salary will depend on experience, education, geography, and other relevant factors. The position is eligible for a bonus, commission, or short‑term incentive program and includes an equity award target.
