Position Summary CVS Pharmacy, Inc., a CVS Health company, is hiring a Senior Data Engineer in Irving, TX to develop, build, and manage large‑scale data structures, pipelines, and efficient ETL workflows to support business applications. Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain large‑scale data structures and pipelines to organize, collect, and standardize data for insights and reporting. Write and optimize ETL processes, design database systems, and build tools for real‑time and offline analytic processing to improve existing systems and expand capabilities. Collaborate with the Data Science team to transform data and integrate algorithms and models into automated processes. Test, maintain, and troubleshoot data systems, leveraging Hadoop architecture, HDFS commands, and query optimization. Build data marts and data models to support Data Science and other internal customers, ensuring data quality and accessibility. Analyze current IT environments to identify critical capabilities, recommend solutions for complex business problems, and advise on new tools to meet model/use‑case requirements. Telecommuting is available. Multiple positions are open. Requirements Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Analytics, or a related field. Five (5) years of progressive post‑baccalaureate experience in a related occupation. Five (5) years of hands‑on experience in each of the following: Programming in Java, Python, or R. SAS or SQL programming languages. Apache Spark, PySpark, or Scala. JIRA, Rally, or Confluence. Writing Extract/Transform/Load (ETL) processes. Cloud technologies: Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), or Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Designing data architectures, including data pipelines, distributed computing engines, and machine learning infrastructure. Designing data models and solutions for analytical and reporting use cases. Data warehousing and big‑data implementation.
Pay Range $157,414.00 per year (base salary). The actual offer will depend on experience, education, geography, and other factors. Eligible for bonus, commission, and short‑term incentive programs, as well as an equity award program.
