USA:PA:Coraopolis | Engineering | Full-Time Posted 4 days ago The Applications Engineer will design, select, and configure pumps and fluid systems, support applications engineering with equipment sizing, pricing, and quoting, provide technical support to sales, service, and customers, manage project bids, orders, and timelines, coordinate with factory for documentation and equipment start-up, maintain and update quotation logs. Responsibilities Provide customer service, sales, and technical support to sales team and customers. Promote and encourage Profit Management to ensure a profitable future for the company. Understand and implement policy to achieve both customer and company goals. Work closely with sales, fabrication and vendors to facilitate the sales effort and meet customer requirements. Evaluate customer bid requirements, specifications, and other pertinent data. Prepare proposals using vendor software, sales catalogs and cost estimates according to technical and performance requirements. Aid in the design and development of equipment and systems and redesign of existing systems. Facilitate prompt remedy of customer technical problems, complaints and failures. Maintain organization of order files, monitor in-house orders and assist sales and fabrication with project related questions. Qualifications Preferred knowledge of centrifugal pumps, other fluid handling equipment and fabricated pumping systems. Must be able to work independently to achieve targeted results. Well organized and self‑motivated. Excellent interpersonal and effective communication skills. Project management experience and teamwork skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Acceptable driving record required according to company guidelines. Additional Information Physical Demand: N/A Working Conditions: Traditional/In-Person Office Environment. Training/Certifications: Any related to pumps, air compressors, motors, couplings, mechanical seals knowledge. Shift Time: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm. Travel: 5% . Acceptable driving record required according to company guidelines. Education: Bachelor’s Degree Engineering related or related experience.
