About
Provide comprehensive nursing care to residents during assigned shifts. Assign, direct, and supervise resident care provided by CNAs and support staff. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians. Monitor residents' conditions and promptly report significant changes to nursing leadership. Document resident assessments, acute illnesses, physician visits, passes, and other clinical updates accurately and in a timely manner. Communicate resident status, care updates, and new physician orders with families and designated medical power of attorney (MDPOA) as appropriate. Collaborate with physicians, nursing leadership, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care. Promote teamwork and effective communication across departments and shifts. Participate in staff meetings, education sessions, and ongoing training. Perform additional duties as assigned to support quality resident care.
Qualifications
Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license. Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification. Minimum of one year of nursing experience. Strong clinical assessment, communication, and organizational skills. Long Term Care experience is preferred.
Assignment Details
13-week travel contract Night shift: 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM 36 guaranteed hours per week Occasional opportunity to work a day shift prior to night shifts for overtime coverage, as needed No on-call requirement Holiday coverage not required One position available Active state license required 1099 contractors are not accepted
