What You Will Be Doing As the Fuel System Engineer you will be responsible for delivering fluid and mechanical engineering solutions within advanced development programs, focusing on aircraft fuel system design, analysis, and aerial refueling.
Lead system‑level fuel design and analysis to meet performance, safety, and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with cross‑functional IPT members to translate customer requirements into integrated system solutions.
Develop and validate aero‑refueling concepts and support test planning and execution.
Manage technical trade studies balancing schedule, cost, and risk.
Provide technical guidance and documentation throughout the product lifecycle.

Who You Are An experienced fuel systems engineer with a strong background in fluid dynamics, mechanical design, and aerospace applications. Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in mechanical or aeronautical engineering
Experience in fuel system architecture development, analysis, and/or troubleshooting
Analytical background in fluid / thermal dynamics using solvers such as AMESIM or Flomaster
Desired Skills
Prior experience with Aerial Refueling Systems
Knowledgeable of governing specifications and standards
Prior defense or aerospace industry customer experience
Prior technical team experience related to the development or support of aircraft fuel systems
Experience with defense / aerospace industry supplier management
Experience troubleshooting faults on complex systems
Experience creating, updating, and releasing engineering drawings
Security Clearance MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN. This position requires a government security clearance; the selected candidate must possess an active Interim Secret clearance to start.
Clearance Level: Secret

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full‑time. The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility. Schedules range from a standard 40‑hour week to condensed schedules offering additional time away from the office.
Schedule for this Position: 4×10 hour day, 3 days off per week.
